The matte varnish went on smooth and dried with that soft, low-shine finish I was hoping for—no brush strokes left behind. Took about a day to fully cure, and my clay piece feels water-resistant now, which is exactly what I needed for a plant pot on a damp windowsill.

The glossy coat dried crystal clear and didn’t leave a single brush streak, even over painted details. Water-resistant is no joke—dipped my test piece under the tap and the clay stayed perfectly smooth underneath.

The matte varnish gave my air-dry clay pieces a soft, professional finish that actually holds up to water, which I tested by accident when I spilled coffee on one. I’ve used about half the bottle on three projects and it’s still going strong, so the value feels right.
